Hampden Watershed Plan
In collaboration with the engineering firm Howard Stein Hudson, project managers MLM Enterprises, the Town of Hampden Conservation Commission and Town of Hampden residents, a comprehensive plan was developed for implementing green infrastructure systems for 3 key point project sites within the Eastbrook Watershed of the Town of Hampden, Massachusetts as part of a Municipality Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program Action Grant for the Town.
Project Highlights:
In-depth GIS watershed and site analyses- land cover & land use, hydrology, geology, soils, slopes & drainage, floodplains, wetlands & waterways.
Community engagement meetings.
Developed conceptual alternatives for green infrastructure at project sites in the watershed.
Conceptual grading plans & sections for each project site.
Developed plant palette for green infrastructure systems.
Recommendations for best management practices & watershed management.
